You will have the chance to explore the largest National Park in the country, the ancient Caledonian forest, and also the charming and ancient villages en route. You also have the opportunity to visit many distilleries to taste the best malts in the world. And if a few drops of water fall from the sky, remember that "Today's rain makes tomorrow's whisky".

DAY 1 : WELCOME TO THE HIGHLANDS
Arrival in Inverness, transfer by taxi to your first accommodation in the village of Buckie. After settling into your hotel, you will have the opportunity to stretch your legs with a short walk (depending on your arrival time). Evening meal to start the tasting of the many Scottish flavours.
DAY 2 : BUCKIE - FOCHABERS (16KM)
From Buckpool Harbour, where your adventure begins, the trail follows the pretty coastline of Moray. From Spey Bay, an ideal spot for dolphin watching, you follow the River Spey to Fochaber. At the end of this stage, you have a chance to taste good local products in Baxters Highland village.
DAY 3 : FOCHABERS - CRAIGELLACHIE (21KM)
After a hearty Highland breakfast, you follow the eastern bank of the River Spey through forests and hills to admire the beautiful scenery stretching to the heights of Ben Aigan, before descending to the charming village of Craigellachie. Don’t miss the little whisky bar for a wee dram of the local whisky, Craigellachie 13, 17 or 23 years old, a delight! A chance to visit the new distillery of Macallan.
DAY 4 : CRAIGELLACHIE - BALLINDALLOCH (19KM)
The route today continues to beautiful and peaceful wooded valleys and passes through Aberlour, Carron and Knockando, names that will be familiar to lovers of Scottish single malt. The village of Ballindalloch is surrounded by beautiful hills with only a few houses. Here you will find one of Scotland’s most beautiful castles, known as the “Pearl of the North”, not to be missed!
DAY 5 : BALLINDALLOCH -TOMINTOUL (24KM)
A very wild unspoiled area awaits you, so keep your eyes wide open for the view, especially when passing by Ben Rinner and Carn Diamh (the highest point on yourTrek). You will pass by the famous Glenlivet distillery, which you can of course visit before heading down to Tomintoul to taste its famous “gentle dram” (sweet whisky). Transfer to Ballindalloch in the late afternoon.
DAY 6 : BALLINDALLOCH – GRANTOWN ON SPEY (24KM)
The trail continues to Cragganmore, another great name in the world of single malt, passing through fields of barley. After Cromdale, you have the chance to admire the famous Scottish pines before reaching Grantown-on-Spey.
DAY 7 : GRANTOWN ON SPEY - AVIEMORE (27.5KM)
Today is the last leg of your adventure! You’ll pass through the famous Spey Valley Smokehouse and through charming villages where you take on refreshments, such as Nethybridge, Abernethy and its nature reserve, towards Boat of Garten. Here you may see osprey on the last 6km of beautiful moorland along the river to Aviemore. Your last night and a chance to celebrate your trek with a great meal in one of the best gastro-pubs in the country. Not to mention a last whisky or two…
Day 8 - RETURN FLIGHT AND END OF YOUR ADVENTURE
This is the end of your Scottish adventure. Transfer to the airport for your return flight.
