All bookings are subject to the terms and conditions set out below. Acceptance of below conditions is implied when a booking is made.

1. BOOKING CONDITIONS

– In order to confirm your booking, the client is required to pay 25% of the full amount as deposit (non refundable).

– The full balance of the tour is due 6 weeks prior to the start date of the tour. If the full amount of the tour price is not received within 6 weeks of the start date of the tour, Adventures-Scotland Limited can cancel your tour.

– Adventures-Scotland Ltd will hold your payment in a separate account until your tour is completed In accordance with EU Package Tour Regulations.

2. TOUR MODIFICATIONS / ALTERNATIONS

– Adventures-Scotland Limited will not modify the tour unless forced to do so by circumstances beyond its control. If this happens, the customer will be advised of any changes relative to the tour. In the event that we have to cancel a tour, the customer will receive a full refund.

– If the client wishes to modify a tour, this might lead to extra charges. However Adventures-Scotland Limited will do its absolute best to satisfy the client’s request.

– Modifications within 6 weeks prior to the departure date are not possible.

– Force Majeure: If this happens during the tour Adventures-Scotland Limited cannot accept liability for any resulting loss, damage or expense to its clients. In a case of force majeure such as Covid-19 prior to the tour Adventures-Scotland Ltd will offer the client a possibility to reschedule the tour to a later date without any extra costs.

3. CANCELLATION POLICY

– Over 6 weeks prior the tour starting date: Adventures-Scotland Limited will refund 75% of the full amount. The desposit is not refundable.

– 6 to 4 weeks before tour start date: Adventures-Scotland Limited will refund 50% of the full amount paid – 4 to 2 weeks before tour start date: Adventures-Scotland Limited will refund you 20% of tour price.

– Less than 2 weeks before tour start date: there is no refund

– During the tour, if you have to terminate the tour early for any reason Adventures-Scotland Limited cannot offer any refund.

4. YOUR SAFETY & RESPONSABILITY DURING THE TOUR

– Self-guided tours: Adventures-Scotland Limited does its absolute best to make sure you stay safe during your tour. However, the clients are responsible for their own safety on all the walks and outdoor activities. Some are easy, but others require good navigation skills in poor weather. Make sure you have the right navigation skills for the terrain and check the weather before you head out. Phone signal can be poor in the hills so if you use a GPS app, make sure to download the maps for online use. We also recommend the clients have an OS map of the area, a compass and the knowledge of how to use them. We cannot be held responsible if the clients get lost, gets injured or dies.

– Guided tours: A fully qualified guide will be with you during your outdoor activities and will do its best to make sure the clients stay safe. However, the clients take part at their own risks. The clients must notify the guide of any medical conditions, allergies or previous serious medical operations.

– Anyone under 18 years old must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

5. ADVENTURES-SCOTLAND LTD’s LIABILITY & INSURANCE

– We strongly advise all our clients to have valid travel insurance in place. Adventures-Scotland Limited will do its absolute best to make sure your tour is as safe as possible but accidents can happen. The business cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to client’s equipment or possession.

– Adventures-Scotland Limited cannot be held responsible if the clients get lost, gets injured or dies.

– It is the client’s responsibility to make sure he or she has all the visa and necessary documentation prior to arrival. If the clients gets their entry to the country refused
Adventures-Scotland Limited cannot be held responsible and no refund will be given.

6. CONTRACT & JURISDICTION

All bookings made with Adventures-Scotland Limited are subject to the terms and conditions above. Acceptance of all the conditions stated above is implied when a booking is made and these booking conditions are governed by Scottish Law and clients shall submit to the jurisdiction of the Scottish Courts.
