Day 1 - Welcome to Scotland
Depending on the time you arrive, you can take the time to explore Edinburgh and enjoy your first Scottish meal at one of the many restaurants or pubs.
It’s the beginning of your adventure in Scotland!
Day 2 - Edinburgh - Stirling (50min by train)
Discover Stirling, a Scottish city steeped in history and charm. Start by exploring the majestic Stirling Castle, perched on a hill with breathtaking views. Then, stroll through the city center, offering local shops and a captivating museum. You can also visit William Wallace tower for a combination of breathtaking views and scottish history.
Day 3 - Stirling - Pitlochry (1h10 by train)
The third day is dedicated to Pitlochry, located in the beautiful Perthshire region. After wandering through the cobbled streets for a while, don’t hesitate to take on the splendid surrounding mountains. In the late afternoon, why not go enjoy a good whisky at a local distillery? We recommend Edradour, the smallest distillery in Scotland.
Day 4 - Pitlochry - Aviemore
Head to Aviemore in the Cairngorms National Park. Located in the heart of the Highlands, this park is the largest in the UK. It includes most of Scotland’s native Caledonian pines and the highest mountains in the country. This natural haven is the ideal place for outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, or climbing. If weather permits, take a walk in the reindeer center.
Day 5 - Cairngorms NP
Another day dedicated to the magnificent Cairngorms National Park. Numerous hiking trails crisscross the park, offering multiple walking opportunities. For example, you can hike Cairn Gorm (1245 m), a very popular Munro. Another option is Kingussie, where an easy route takes you to the top of towering mountains. If you’re not a passionate hiker, take a steam train or the moutain funiculair to appreciate the scenery with minimal effort.
Day 6 - Aviemore - Inverness (45min by train)
Explore Inverness on a day dedicated to visiting the city and its surroundings. Start with a stroll along the peaceful Ness, explore the city center, and take the time to admire the majestic Inverness Castle. Then, head to the Culloden Battlefield to dive into Scottish history.
Day 7 - Loch Ness
The seventh day of your adventure promises an exceptional experience, starting with a cruise on the mysterious Loch Ness. Keep your eyes peeled for Nessie. Afterward, you can visit Urquhart Castle, whose ruins offer a breathtaking view of the loch. Explore its remains and discover the captivating history of the region.
Day 8 - Back to Edinburgh (4h by train)
Return to Edinburgh and take a leisurely stroll through the streets of the Scottish capital. Its mysterious atmosphere envelops the entire city centre. Many points of interest reveal themselves in the narrow streets, such as the famous castle. You can also follow in the footsteps of famous writers, many of whom were inspired by the city’s unique atmosphere.
Day 9 - Return Home
Head to the airport for your return flight.
